National Park Service Access Projects

As part of a five-year contract with the National Park Service (NPS), PGA is addressing public access at five parks in Marin and San Francisco. Two sites (Baker Beach and Stinson) are public beaches, where our charge is to ensure that disabled visitors can find accessible parking, easily navigate the sand dunes, and gain access to picnic facilities, interpretive materials and restrooms. At Kirby Cove, our design solution will provide access to backcountry campsites, restrooms and trails, as well as day-use facilities. The Maritime Promenade at the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park is a more urban site, with similar access needs.
